Deaf Together

In 2023 I was Project Manager for DEAF TOGETHER, a new Deaf-led gathering that’s open to everyone! Part of Hear We Are, a two-year Deaf-led project with Jonny Cotsen and Chapter to create Deaf Together which was three days of Deaf-led events, activities and performances at Chapter, Cardiff. I also led on communications and engagement, supported inclusion and access and was part of a small project team that made the weekend run smoothly! Many of the events sold out and had waiting lists. I also created feedback forms for people to tell us their honest thoughts about the event, and I created a collaborative and reflective evaluation to support partnership learning and future funding bids.

The event was by and for Deaf people, but hearing people were warmly welcomed.

Hear We Are is a Jonny Cotsen project in partnership with Chapter with the support of Disability Arts Cymru, CRT Consultant and Training, Centre of Sign Sight Sound, Deaf Hub Wales, Tŷ  Pawb, Artis Community,  Taliesin Arts Centre, Pontypridd Deaf Club and Sign and Share Club. Funded by Arts Council Wales through Connect + Flourish.
